Hope to see many of you at Lake Boren Park tomorrow at 11:00am.

For those who have been to Lake Boren Park recently you may have noticed an addition to the park near the entrance to the boardwalk on the southwest corner of the lake. Within the last few a memorial to Jim Price has been installed. Jim played an important role in the formation of the City of Newcastle and some of our local civic institutions including the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce, Newcastle Trails and Newcastle Arts Council. Jim also served on the Newcastle Community Activities Commission and held the community of Newcastle in his heart. Unfortunately, Jim passed away in 2018 but continues to have a lasting impact on our community.

Please plan to join the community for a dedication of the memorial on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00am at Lake Boren Park. After a short program at the memorial we will gather at the covered picnic area near the pickleball courts (Jim was a big pickleball fan) for some light refreshments and community conversation. All are welcome.
