To the heroes among us—our Veterans:

On this day, we recognize that the greatest legacy of your service is not found on a battlefield far away, but right here in the community you returned home to. You taught us the meaning of loyalty, perseverance, and quiet strength.

We see the value of your sacrifice in the stability of our homes, the safety of our streets, and the freedom with which we gather. Thank you for your tours of duty, and thank you for the continued service you bring back to our neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces every single day.

Your dedication built the foundation for the life we enjoy. We stand with you today and always. Happy Veterans Day.

Join us at the VFW Post 2516 this evening for a free Veterans dinner. Doors open at 5pm and Dinner is at 6pm!

VFW Post 2516 Auxiliary will have their monthly meeting this Saturday, Sept 20th @ 1:00pm.

The location is at the VFW hall located at 2990 West Main Street.

If you're interested in joining we encourage you to attend a meeting to get all necessary Information and an application. If you're unable to attend please comment or send a message and one of the Auxiliary members will reach out to you.

Almighty God, we gather today with hearts filled with gratitude and sorrow, remembering those who have given their lives for our freedom. We honor their courage, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to our nation.

We pray for peace and an end to conflict throughout the world. We ask for your comfort and healing for those who mourn the loss of their loved ones. We lift up all those who currently serve in our military, and we ask for your protection and guidance as they face difficult situations.

We give thanks for the freedom we enjoy and the sacrifices that have been made to secure it. May we never forget the price of liberty. We ask for your blessings on our nation and all its people. Amen

Bingo will be tonight 1/16/25 at the vfw in Newcastle!

Early bird is at 5:30 pm and regular bingo is at 6:00 pm.

There is no bingo on Friday everyone is welcome to come and play

Dear Lord, Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country. We pray that you will bless them for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country's heritage, for all of us.
