October is in full swing! There’s always so much happening with our Runway community + we couldn’t be more grateful to every person who has decided to plan an event that benefits Runway for Recovery. While each event will be full of fun, friends, + creating memories, the impact goes far beyond a single day, a single class, or a single girls night out. So grab your bestie, your family, your coworker + help us continue our work of supporting families navigating metastatic breast cancer and loss. Thank you to our incredible Runway community, we couldn’t do any of this without you!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And we know this month can bring up a lot of different emotions.

For some, October is a time to wear pink, share a story, fundraise and feel surrounded by community. For others, the pink can feel overwhelming—a reminder of a diagnosis, someone deeply missed, or a future that suddenly looks very different.

At Runway for Recovery, there is room for all of it.

For 20 years, we have built a community for families impacted by breast cancer—one that shows up in celebration and in grief, during treatment and after loss, on our runway and in the quiet moments that happen long after an event is over.

This October will be an especially full one for Runway. Our community will be dancing, playing, rallying, fundraising and gathering across the country, all leading up to our 20th Anniversary Runway Show in Boston on October 29.

Whether this is the month you want to show up loudly or the month you need to step away from the pink, we are here.

And we are so grateful to be a part of your stories.

On a perfect Saturday afternoon in NYC, we teamed up with NYC | Beach Volley Ventures™ to Play with Purpose at the first Play for Runway beach volleyball event! 🩷🏐🏓

It was an afternoon full of volleyball, beach, volleyball, and table tennis as we honored those affected by breast cancer. We also heard from breast cancer survivor + Runway Social Media Manager Victoria Price + Alumni Model Tyler Schwalm as we came together to support Runway’s mission of providing direct financial assistance and meaningful support to families facing metastatic breast cancer or the loss of a parent to the disease.

Thank you to everyone who made this inaugural event possible, we hope it is the first of many to come! 💕
