Good things happen when the right people sit down together.

GGP and Great Lakes Cheese hosted two roundtables that brought about two dozen Geauga County employers face to face with leadership from FirstEnergy, including Torrence Hinton, President of Ohio for FirstEnergy.
FirstEnergy shared their plans for investment in the system that serves our area. Then they listened while local business owners and plant managers talked about what reliable power means for keeping people working here.

Our thanks to Great Lakes Cheese for hosting both sessions, to the FirstEnergy team for coming out to Geauga County, and to every business that took two hours out of a workday to take part.
FirstEnergy has agreed to come back and do this again next year.

Today, GGP supported more than 140 incredible 6th graders as they explored six career pathways aligned with People, Place, and Creativity: Agriculture, Arts, Education, Tourism, Human Services, and Healthcare.

From discovering new career paths to building confidence and leadership skills, these future changemakers showed what's possible when curiosity meets community! 💚

Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported this effort. We can't wait to keep hosting programs like this for the youth of Geauga County, so stay tuned for the next one!

GGP will be hosting more 6th graders, as well as 7th and 8th graders this fall. If you are interested in representing your industry and you would like to help create our future workforce pipelines, reach out to GGP today!
