Quick Willow update: Willow went back for a check up to the surgeon that set her leg last weak. He said Willow is doing great, and no longer needs to wear the splint. She will remain on limited activity for another 2 weeks, including staying on leash when outside, and going on very short walks. Her skin was irritated from the bandages but hopefully it will clear up with exposure to the air. Willow will wear her collar until it clears up so she won't mess with it. We will hold her funds for a little longer but if not needed for Willow, they will go towards the second surgery for Hope's cleft palate and Gatsby's MRI.

Below is a link to the newest update for Willow. Her surgery has been postponed while we see whether her bones will fuse together correctly with a properly aligned splint. If so she will be able to avoid surgery, and if not she will go forward with plate surgery as originally planned.

Willow was supposed to go in for surgery on Tuesday, May 17th. However the temporary splint and wrap fell off on Sunday, so the surgeon wanted her to come in a day early to be checked out. Update on Willow! She will be heading to the hospital where her surgery will be done today, instead of tomorrow. Her temporary splint slid off yesterday so the surgeon wants to check everything out today and have staff keep an eye on her overnight. Her fundraiser is only $500 from the goal! This little cutie is Bandit's K9Care's newest client. She fractured her leg while out playing in her yard and need surgery to repair it ASAP. If not done by early next week the bones will likely fuse together improperly (and painfully), after which amputation may be the only option.

Willow is a 6 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy who fractured her leg while outside playing in her yard. Surgical repair with a plate is needed within the next week to prevent the bones from fusing incorrectly, which would necessitate amputation.

This handsome boy has been experiencing health problems and pain off and on for the past 10 months (he is only 3). His owners have worked with all kinds of veterinarians, specialists and physical therapists. Nothing has provided permanent relief nor an answer to what is causing so much discomfort. He is now scheduled to have an MRI at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Center. His family has spent so much on him already and just cannot cover the cost of this expensive procedure which will hopefully provide the badly needed answers of what is causing his pain and how to treat it. Katsu is a sweet Corgi girl that needs surgery to repair her torn cruciate ligament. Her owner needs help because she is young and just started working in a brand new job that hasn't paid her yet. Her parents, who she currently lives with for financial reasons, are also unable to help. Our nonprofit partner FAD put up this fundraiser per our recommendation. This cutie is Hope, the sweet pup who had cleft palate surgery today at the Virginia–Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Our organization worked with her breeder and owner to raise the funds needed for this surgery. Thanks to the income Bandit's K9Care has received from Facebook birthday fundraisers, we could assist with the cost of today's surgery and also cover the cost of the follow up visit she needs in a few weeks. Today we were 3 for 3! All three fur babies (all Corgis and one a literal baby at 4 months) that Bandit's K9Care Inc. was helping had successful surgery today! The photo is of Rover who had bladder stone surgery. Poor little dude was out of it when he was put into his car for the ride back. The stones were most likely caused by the suspected liver shunt(s) but we will know more once the results come back from the lab. Meanwhile we are setting up an appointment with an internal medicine specialist for when he recovers from today's surgery. Your donations make all of this possible! Thank you to all our supporters!
