Newburgh Rivertown Trail 5K

Newburgh Rivertown Trail 5K Saturday, November 11, 2023 Both courses will continue along the Ohio River and the Newburgh Rivertown Trail. Water Street to W.

The Course
The entirely paved course will start and finish on Water Street near Town Hall. 5K and 8K participants will follow Water Street east towards French Island Trail. The 5K course will turn around just past Newburgh Presbyterian Church near Belle River Drive. The 8K participants will continue along the trail past the entrance to Indian Hill Overlook Park and turn around on Old SR 662. Afte

r the turn around, both courses will then follow French Island Trail west to E. Jennings Street through Historic Downtown Newburgh. All participants will enter the Rivertown Trail at the Aurand Trailhead near Yorkshire Drive. The race will finish on Water Street near Town Hall. Along the way, participants will enjoy the Newburgh Rivertown Trail’s spectacular views of the Ohio River and Historic Downtown Newburgh.

Huge shoutout to everyone who made the Newburgh Rivertown Trail 5K a success last November! We greatly appreciate the community participation and take pride in the fact that this group and our generous donors raised thousands of dollars towards the maintenance & upkeep of our beautiful riverfront trail!

Due to life events (baby #1 on the way) and other conflicts with our volunteers this fall, we are aiming to push back the NRT5K to the spring of 2025. We will update this page when more details are available and would LOVE to have more volunteers if you are interested in helping in any way. Volunteers are critical in keeping this tradition going! Please send a direct message to this page if you might like to play a role in the spring, and we will be in touch!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our beloved trail this morning! We are aware of some issues with our timing system that impacted awards, and are working diligently with our timing company to get it resolved. We will be restocking trophies for those who we may have missed and are checking on the names/times of the individuals we talked with during the awards ceremony.
