Newton County in Missouri recently passed a bill that will empower county law enforcement to arrest any federal agent attempting to enforce any federal anti-gun law in their jurisdiction. In part the bill says the following;
“All federal acts, laws, orders, rules, and regulations passed by the federal government and specifically any presidential administration whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article 1, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in the county, shall not be recognized by this county, and specifically rejected by this county, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this County.”
ICDL is working diligently to help counties in Indiana pass similar "2A sanctuary" resolutions in our 92 counties. So far 26 counties have declared themselves to be "2A sanctuaries". However, we must go further and work to empower Indiana Constitutional Sheriff's to also arrest, or otherwise remove, any federal agent attempting to enforce laws which are repugnant to the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
We must also work to have our State Legislature pass a Statewide law that would make it a crime for any federal agent to enforce any federal anti-gun law. This would by default make all 92 counties “2A sanctuaries”.
With Joe Biden residing in the White House along with his paper thin majorities in both the House and Senate, we must work harder than ever before to pass a State law prohibiting federal agents from enforcing any anti-gun laws this administration may pass. We’ve never faced a more anti-gun President or Congress in our lives.

While counties within the U.S. have passed Second Amendment sanctuaries, Newton County, Missouri, has taken that notion a step further.
