Had a great day at the Newberry Main Street Organization spring festival yesterday! It was great meeting so many of our community members and sharing our passion for Newberry's history and our goals for this upcoming year. Thanks to everyone that signed up to become a member.

The Newberry Historical Association’s Oral Histories Project is working to preserve the voices and experiences of longtime residents, families, and community members.
Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or helped shape Newberry along the way, your memories are an important part of our shared history. You can participate by sharing your story.

Last night a piece of our city's history occurred with the ribbon cutting for the new City Hall building and the first commission meeting was held there. A beautiful addition to our town that will be utilized and appreciated for many generations to come.

Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or helped shape Newberry along the way, your memories are an important part of our shared history. You can participate by sharing your story preserve these oral histories. Our first day of recording is this January 17th 2026 (4 spots left).
