Surgery over and home on Thursday evening. Worst part was potassium IV. It burned like heck and hurt much worse than actual incisions. Had trouble with blood sugar due to steroids they used during surgery.
Doing well. Just taking ibuprofen for pain. No oxy! On a liquid diet. Blood sugar OK now and blood pressures normal. Pretty tired. The inside cut feels like a sore throat when I swallow. Otherwise not problematic. The six inch incision in my neck is OK if I don't try to streach it too much. It looks like it is healing well. At worse, I am feeling an ear ache which is probably from swelling.
Initial pathology was positive that all cencer removed and none found in lymph nodes. Great news since that means no radiation/chemo which are very problematic. More in three weeks with followup on July 12th. Stiches out end of next week.
I think I'll start back part time Monday and just play it by ear so to speak. Sitting at a desk isn't to hard.
