Live on Purpose
Purpose, everyone is in pursuit of theirs. The definition of purpose is "the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exits".
It is something that is ever before us. We all have one and are in pursuit of discovering it.
When things are going well at home, work, and in other areas of life we believe it’s because we are living on purpose. If the flip side of that is happening, we question purpose. It is possible that when life is not going the way we planned that we are on purpose. We must acknowledge and be at peace with the fact that things don’t always go according to our plans or the way we imagine in our minds. We must be flexible.
Flexibility is one of life’s tools that helps keep us balanced. We should ask God to help us with the fact that ultimately, we are not in control, God is. When the unexpected happens being flexible is something that I believe helps us remain grounded. Change can be inconvenient, and we don’t always welcome change.
Change is necessary. Change causes us to look in the mirror. Change is good. Change helps us embrace the future while looking at the stagnation or growth that has taken place in our lives. If you are not content with your current circumstances, then change could be what you need at this season in your life. It helps you to make the adjustments that you need to make while moving forward. No matter what your life looks like at the present, change helps you make the quality decisions to grow.
We all know that growing does not feel good. It is a process just like other natural occurrences in our lives. Because growth takes place over time, we tend to want to rush this process. If we are not willing to go through the many preparations, then we cheat ourselves. Each growth process is necessary for us to mature. For us to reach our goals we must prepare. We must be ready to go to the next level.
There is a plan that is mapped out for each of us. It is important for each of us to find out the plan. The plan ties into the purpose. When we have certain desires and interests these are directly related to our purpose. We must be ready for the assignment.
Assignments change but the purpose remains the same. Have you ever wondered why some people who were instrumental in your life in one season and now exited. This is because the assignment has changed. They had to leave for God to make room for your next assignment. You would have kept in touch with them to keep things comfortable as before. Now there is a discomfort that you now feel when you are around them or during phone conversations. This is a sign that the relationship has shifted. You try to ignore this at the onset, but it is undeniable that the time has come to pronounce benediction on the scope of the relationship. It does not mean that you no longer have love for them, but the closeness is no longer there.
Living on purpose means that you want to live each day with meaning. You no longer want to go through the motion of life. You begin to recognize that life is precious and short. You want to make everyday count. We must be mindful that daily actions are connecting us to purpose. You might ask the question, why does purpose matter? When we are living on purpose it causes us to live a full life. We recognize that every action that we take in life brings us closer or farther away from purpose. Every destiny encounter is two-fold. As I mentioned earlier, we are not an island to ourselves. We are connected in so many ways on our journey called life. You are living on purpose and at the same time others are living on purpose.
Purpose connecting to purpose. Faith plays a big role in living on purpose. We need each other and should be willing to help each other reach our destination. I was once in a store and I overhead a conversation that someone had. The person expressed a need that they had and if a certain amount of funds were not provided, they could not proceed with the transaction. It was not an accident that I overheard the conversation and could provide relief to the person. There are times in each of our lives that God allow us to receive benefit from the generosity of others. I believe when we purpose to be a blessing to others then that same benefit comes back to us in our time of need. I was at the right place at the right time for that person.
In conclusion, for the person who might by chance be allowed the opportunity to read this article, please understand the importance of purpose. We all have a purpose to fulfill. It is so important to know that we are connected to each other in so many ways. We need each other. We must be mindful every day that we don’t have the luxury of going through the motion of life. Our actions bring us closer to the living out the full the plan that God has already mapped out for us. There is joy that comes with being connected to the right people. Some people must exit our lives for the new people to enter our lives at different seasons in our lives. Growth is a process. The process does not always feel good, but we must embrace the change that is needed and be willing to make the necessary adjustments so that growth can take place.
True joy comes from living on purpose. You might not be where you want to be as you are reading this article, but you are well on your way to living the fulfilling life. Each day that you wake up the rest of life know that your purpose matters because you choose to live on purpose.
