🇺🇸Community Board Game & Donation Drive

We are preparing to launch a new Community Soup, Salad & Board Game Night here in Newberg, and we would love your support as we build this from the ground up.

This future event is designed to bring veterans, families, and neighbors together for a simple meal, good company, and a low-pressure evening of connection and fun. Many veterans struggle with isolation. Something as simple as sitting around a table and playing a game can build friendships, improve mental health, and create a strong sense of belonging.

You do not need to be a veteran or affiliated with the VFW or its Auxiliary to attend. This is a welcoming, inclusive event for the entire community. Everyone is invited to come, connect, and be part of something meaningful. We will ask for a small cash donation to attend, and these events will remain free to all veterans as a small but meaningful way to say thank you for their service.

Because of events like this and our community, we are able to provide emergency assistance, outreach, scholarships, and support to veterans and their families right here in Greater Yamhill County. Every donation and every person who shows up truly makes a difference.

We are currently seeking:

🎲 New or gently used board games for all ages

💛 Cash donations to help purchase additional games, food, door prizes, gift baskets, and supplies

These games will remain at our hall and be used at each event so veterans, youth, and families always have something to engage with. Our hope is to create a warm, welcoming space that continues to grow and serve this community for years to come.

You can donate games, make a financial contribution, or simply share this post to help us spread the word.

💖 COMMUNITY VALENTINE’S BREAKFAST REMINDER 💖

Join us tomorrow morning for a warm, homemade breakfast and a meaningful way to support our local veterans and their families. ❤️

VFW Auxiliary Post 4015 is hosting our Valentine’s Breakfast Fundraiser, and everyone in the community is welcome.

You can RSVP on Facebook event if you’d like, or simply show up the morning of. No prior purchase or affiliations are required. Cash payments at the door are welcome. Donations are always appreciated, and your support means more than you know.

This is more than breakfast. It is neighbors showing up for veterans. Funds raised stay local and help support emergency assistance, outreach, youth programs, and the ongoing mission of the VFW Auxiliary right here in our community.

Welcome to VFW Auxiliary Post 4015

If you grew up in a military family…

If someone you love served overseas…

If you understand what sacrifice looks like beyond a headline…

This group might be for you.

The VFW Auxiliary exists to support veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. We assist with outreach, scholarships, community events, advocacy, and direct support when it is needed most. An active and engaged Auxiliary strengthens the entire VFW Post. A strong Post strengthens veterans, their families, and the community as a whole.

This is not just meetings and minutes or old-timers sitting in a dusty hall, drinking bad coffee, and talking about days gone by. This is a connection. It is service, and it is healing. It is meaningful work that feels good because it matters. It a little GenX feral but community and service all the same.

We host events. We show up for one another. We build relationships. We help create a community where isolation once lived.

Your membership does not require a significant time commitment. You can simply be a member and support the mission. We offer monthly meetings with a Zoom option to accommodate busy schedules and make participation accessible. You can choose to attend or not; it's entirely up to you. There are specific officer and committee roles available for those who feel called to step into leadership and are voted into those positions. Participation can fit your season of life.

Officer roles may include:

• President

• Senior Vice President

• Junior Vice President

• Treasurer

• Secretary

• Chaplain

• Conductor

• Guard

• Three-Year Trustees

There are also committee opportunities and program chair positions for members who want to be involved in events, outreach, scholarships, youth activities, and community engagement.

There is a small annual membership fee, and those dues directly allow us to fund programs, host events, and support veterans and their families right here in Greater Yamhill County.

You may qualify for membership if you are related to a veteran who served overseas in a foreign conflict and is eligible for VFW membership. Spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings of qualifying veterans may be eligible.
