THE EVENT :
Register for the Sasquatch Duro on April 11, 2026, in Carlton, Oregon, set in the heart of Oregon’s wine country and part of the Oregon Triple Crown Series. This premier gravel event showcases some of the most scenic riding in the Pacific Northwest.

The Ride
Choose between a 40-mile or 67-mile course, featuring approximately 2,900 ft or 5,000 ft of climbing. Expect smooth gravel, rugged sections, rolling vineyards, forests, and farmland. The short course welcomes Class 1 & 3 e-bikes, making the event accessible to a wide range of riders.

The Experience
Riders enjoy a $14 food voucher, local food trucks, custom event socks, live music from 11 AM–4 PM, and awards beginning at 2 PM.

Explore Carlton
Known as Oregon’s wine capital, Carlton features nearly two dozen tasting rooms, a charming historic downtown, boutique shops, and excellent farm-to-table dining.

Join us in the Kingdom of Gravel that made Oakridge the logging capital of the Pacific Northwest. "Duro" is slang for severe, so whether you take on the little Squatch, Big Squatch, or the Monster Squatch the community will be on hand to support your journey through Sasquatch infested land.

Big thanks to Ride with GPS for being amazing and having a platform that is the backbone to any ride.

Grant Petersen, the founder of Rivendell Bicycle Works, has become famous for making beautiful bikes, using materials and components that his industry has mostly abandoned. The bike designer believes that the industry’s focus on racing—along with “competition and a pervasive addiction to technology”—has had a poisonous influence on cycling culture. Peterson advocates for pleasurable, unhurried riding—alone, or with family and friends—and is obsessive about comfort. Rivendell’s bicycles are marketed as “UNracing” bikes, designed for cross-country touring, local bike camping, and running errands. Through the years, the bikes have amassed a devoted following. Funny, not funny. (But, yea, funny).

When the non-cycling public is upset about their tax dollars (and our tax dollars, money comes from the same place) being wasted on cycling infrastructure... "I never see anyone using it!" I wonder why...

Shout out to our Public Works Departments and Transportation Consultants! I'm sure you're (mostly) trying! Connectivity isn't always easy. Just ask a cyclist. (Seriously, ask a cyclist before you build the next thing...)

When we sent out a message on Twitter asking for photographic evidence of the worst bike lanes on the planet, the response was huge
