HANOVER POST 764 BASEBALL WEATHER BRIEFING

Players, Parents, and Fans,

As we head into another busy week of Legion Baseball, here's a quick weather update for the Hanover area.

The weather pattern across Ohio remains very active. Instead of the typical late-June heat and humidity, we're seeing cooler temperatures, breezy conditions, and multiple chances for showers and thunderstorms as weather systems continue to move through the region.

What to Expect:

•Highs mostly in the mid-to-upper 70s

•Comfortable evenings with temperatures in the 50s and low 60s

•Less heat stress for players during games and practices

•Frequent weather changes from day to day

Storm Outlook:

Friday: Great baseball weather. Comfortable temperatures and only a slight chance of a passing shower.

Saturday: Scattered thunderstorms possible.

Sunday: Storm chances increase, especially later in the day.

Monday: This is the day we're watching closely. Forecasts indicate a high chance of rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and the potential for heavy rainfall. Field conditions could become an issue.

Tuesday–Thursday: Cooler, comfortable conditions return with only isolated shower chances.

Baseball Impact:

Best Days for Baseball:
----Friday • Tuesday • Wednesday

Radar Watch Days:
----Saturday • Sunday

Highest Risk for Delays or Postponements: ----Monday

As always, player safety comes first. We will continue monitoring conditions and communicate any schedule changes as early as possible.

The good news? While we've had plenty of clouds and storms lately, the cooler temperatures have provided some excellent baseball weather compared to the usual Ohio summer heat.

Stay ready, stay hydrated, and keep an eye on team communications for any weather-related updates.

⚾️ Hanover Post 764 Falls to Coshocton American Legion, 15-5 ⚾️

The final score wasn't what we wanted, but there were still plenty of positives to build on Thursday night at Licking Valley High School.

Hanover jumped out early when Carter Waites ripped a 2-run double in the first inning, giving Post 764 a quick 2-0 lead. Despite collecting 7 hits to Coshocton's 6, a tough second inning and several costly mistakes proved too much to overcome.

Bentley Minton led the offense, going 3-for-3 at the plate, while Carter Waites drove in 3 runs from the heart of the lineup. The team also showed patience at the plate, drawing 8 walks, with Darek Jones and Miles Miller collecting two walks apiece.

Defensively, Hanover turned a double play and continued to battle until the final out.

This game was a reminder that baseball isn't always about who gets the most hits—it's about limiting mistakes and taking advantage of opportunities. We'll learn from it, clean up the little things, and get back to work.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the boys tonight.

⚾️ POST GAME RECAP ⚾️
Hanover Post 764 Juniors – 9 Panthers – 8

Hanover Post 764 battled through a back-and-forth contest Monday evening at Don Edwards Park, holding off a late Panthers rally to secure a 9-8 victory.

Spencer Sindel led the offensive charge, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and two singles. Sindel also anchored the defense, handling 10 chances in the field without an error.

After taking an early lead in the first inning, Hanover found themselves trailing before responding in the third. Braden Patterson delivered a clutch RBI single to left field, while Martin Little added an RBI single down the line and Ryder McDonald worked a bases-loaded walk to help Hanover reclaim the lead.

Patterson continued to make an impact on both sides of the ball. He finished 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs at the plate and provided a steady presence in relief, tossing three innings while striking out five and issuing no walks.

Hanover's offense remained patient throughout the game, drawing nine walks and collecting 11 hits. Martin Little added two hits in two at-bats, while he and Carter Waites each reached base twice via walk.

The Panthers refused to go away, tallying 12 hits and putting pressure on the bases throughout the evening, but Hanover answered the challenge and found a way to finish.

Final: Hanover Post 764 – 9
Panthers – 8

Great teams don't always win the easy ones. Sometimes they have to grind, respond to adversity, and trust each other to get the job done. Tonight, our boys did exactly that.

TEAM FIRST. ALL IN. ALWAYS EARNING
