We had another day that was both typical and affected by the rain. Scouts started the day at flags and experienced the breakfast routine. Then we cleaned up camp for inspection before heading to merit badges. Our first inspection was pretty good, 96/100, and with clear directions for improvement. Here’s hoping for a perfect score and coup feather tomorrow. After lunch, we had siesta, but instead of napping, scouts kept busy with games, scoutmaster conferences, and boards of review. Thunderstorms rolled into the area just as open programming happened, so scouts visited the trading post and hung around camp. Finally, after dinner, the new scouts were supposed to climb Thunderbird Hill, yet weather thwarted the hike, and the event took place in the dining hall. We are back at the campsite for the evening, and hoping for a good night of sleep and no rain tomorrow, since a bunch of scouts are getting up early for a unique event tomorrow morning.
