It was established in 1997 and has grown from a band of street volunteers to a huge national network of schools, hospitals and vocational centers. In health area, HOPE is currently providing the underprivileged class access to primary health care through its hospitals, basic health units and maternal health center. Hospitals and Maternal and Child Care Centers have been set up in Karachi and Thatta. A basic health care center is also being run in the HUB area. The health facilities and services include out-patient care, in-patient surgeries and delivery services and are well equipped with emergency care resources, labs, blood banks, operation theaters, antenatal care facilities etc. Education
Moreover, HOPE is providing free education to poor children through formal and informal schools across Pakistan. The formal schools are currently being run in Karachi, Thatta and Muzzafargarh. In Karachi HOPE has 800 students enrolled and 18 teachers employed. In Thatta, 500 students and 12 teachers and in Muzzafargarh 150 students and 6 teachers are employed. As far as Informal schools are concerned, 200 home schools are currently run by HOPE which have almost 10,000 students and 200 community girls employed as teachers. Free textbooks, stationery and copies are provided to children. Vocational Services
On the other hand, HOPE has 3 Vocational centers in Karachi, 1 in Thatta and 1 in Muzzafargarh, AJK. These centers provide the youth with skills that will enable them to generate income. Computer skills, English classes, sewing and design classes are held regularly for the boys and girls. Flood Relief
HOPE has also been efficiently working for flood victims. The operation involves provision of medical aid, food, shelter, ration and access to safe drinking water in the form of water-purifying sachets called PuR.
