Hope Dining Room Hope Dining Room serves hot noontime meals at no charge to Newark, DE, area residents in need. Locati We serve over 16,000 hot lunches per year.

Volunteers from churches, service organizations and restaurants prepare and serve lunches, typically once a month for each group. Hope Dining Room's serving mission is made possible by the generous donations of financial gifts, food and time by various religious organizations, civic groups, businesses and individuals in the greater Newark area. Dear Friends of Hope Dining Room,

The Houses of Hope Tour was a wonderful success and we want to share our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this event. Your participation, support and contributions make it possible for Hope Dining Room to continue our mission of serving hot, sit-down meals to those in need in the Newark area. Thank you for helping us spread hope, one meal at a time.

More than 25 groups serve monthly at Hope Dining Room and we thank you for being such a vital part of the Newark community in all you do. We are especially grateful to the sites who opened their doors to the community and their volunteers who prepared and led the tours.

Hope Dining Room is hosting a “Houses of Hope” tour and everyone is invited!

Six of the churches who serve weekday meals in Newark at Hope Dining Room will be welcoming the community into their churches. Come see the many interesting things that are available right here in our community – colonial history, stained glass windows, vegetable and native plant gardens, a walking labyrinth or an unexpected outreach. Come and enjoy the Houses of Hope Tour on Saturday, May 16th.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to everyone who donated to Hope Dining Room during the DoMore24 campaign. Through 26 different donors we raised $4129, all of which will be matched by a benefactor. A successful event for HDR. Again thank you!! This infusion will help us continue to serve those in need in the Greater Newark DE area.

This fundraiser continues until 6 PM tonight. We have reached 33% of our goal. A big, big thank you to the 14 contributors so far.

Hope Dining Room Inc. has been serving a midday meal to those in need in the Greater Newark DE area for 41 years. Volunteer serving groups from faith-based organizations in the local area cook and serve the food.
