Surgery update on Nora & Emma ❤️
Nora still has a little healing left to do. Her incision is still draining some, which the veterinary team says is completely normal. Thankfully, she’s in good spirits and her appetite has returned. The hardest part for Nora right now is being separated from her family. They visit her often, but she needs just a little more time resting on her own so we can avoid any setbacks from her doing too much too soon.
As for Emma… someone forgot to tell her she had surgery. 😂
She is doing incredibly well and was ready to get back to her normal routine almost immediately. For now, she’s staying in a smaller pasture without a pond because she can’t get her sutures wet for a couple of weeks. She is definitely not thrilled about that arrangement, but otherwise she’s doing great. Her incisions look beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with how she’s recovering. She should be in a stall inside the barn taking it easy but she absolutely will not use the restroom anywhere but outside. Yes, pigs are that particular about their living space❤️
Thank you all for the love, prayers, and support you’ve sent their way. It means so much to us and to these sweet girls. ❤️🐑🐷
