Licking County Players Inc. Located at 131 West Main Street in downtown Newark. Licking County Players, Inc. is an award winning all-volunteer community theater.

Started in 1967 as Welsh Hills Players, the budding group produced four shows and called a little red brick German Lutheran Church home. In 1981 the group moved to the historic Auditorium Theatre and changed the group's name to Licking County Players to enhance an image of a wider theater audience in the county. For the next 12 years starting in 1984 shows were produced in Founders Hall at the OSU/Newark campus. In 1996 the organization purchased the former Salvation Army building on West Main Street where we produce our shows now, in year round comfort. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; any donations to the group are tax deductible, and a great way to support quality community theater as well as the arts in Central Ohio.
