Licking County Players Inc.

Located at 131 West Main Street in downtown Newark. Licking County Players, Inc. is an award winning all-volunteer community theater.

Started in 1967 as Welsh Hills Players, the budding group produced four shows and called a little red brick German Lutheran Church home. In 1981 the group moved to the historic Auditorium Theatre and changed the group's name to Licking County Players to enhance an image of a wider theater audience in the county. For the next 12 years starting in 1984 shows were produced in Founders Hall at the OSU

/Newark campus. In 1996 the organization purchased the former Salvation Army building on West Main Street where we produce our shows now, in year round comfort. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; any donations to the group are tax deductible, and a great way to support quality community theater as well as the arts in Central Ohio.

Formerly known as the Falcon Awards, this year’s celebration is getting a fresh new look as we celebrate 60 seasons of community theatre.

Join us Saturday, September 26th from 6:00–9:00 PM for an evening of live music, food, photos, awards, dancing, and community celebration.

This event is open to all LCP supporters — whether you’ve been on stage, backstage, in the audience, volunteered, donated, brought a friend to a show, or simply love local theatre. We want you there!

Formal attire is encouraged, so come gussied up and ready to celebrate. 🖤✨

Announcing open auditions for the first show of our 61st season: The Foreigner.

Where: Licking County Players - 131 W. Main St.
When: July 6th and 7th
Time: 7pm both nights
What: Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script.

An audition form will be live, soon, to fill out before auditions. Follow for more updates and news on when that form is live!

Thank you to our amazing volunteers that came out to help with the America 250 Train Event in Downtown Newark over the weekend! We had so much fun learning about famous Ohio natives from all of them!
