Did you know that birdwatching is good for your mental health?

Many of us in the birding community already feel — spending time outdoors, slowing down to observe birds, and connecting with nature can reduce stress, ease anxiety, and boost overall well-being.

Whether it’s the flash of a warbler in spring migration, the steady rhythm of shorebirds on the beach, or simply the chatter of chickadees in your backyard, birds remind us to pause, breathe, and find joy in the moment.

✨ Want to feel the benefits yourself? Grab your binoculars, take a walk, and let the birds do the rest.

🔥🌿 Birds feel the heat, too! As temperatures soar, here are 4 simple ways you can help birds beat the heat:

1️⃣ Offer Water – Place shallow dishes or birdbaths in shady spots and keep them clean and full.
2️⃣ Provide Shade – Plant native trees or shrubs to give birds a cool place to rest.
3️⃣ Supply Food – Keep feeders stocked with seeds especially during dry spells when natural food is scarce.
4️⃣ Take Action – Support bird-friendly policies, reduce pesticide use, and advocate for green spaces in your community.

Small acts = big impact. Let’s keep our feathered friends safe this summer! 🐦💧🌳
