Huge shoutout to Coach Jamie Lynn!!! She earned coach of the year in this 25-26 ICSO league Southeast division

This was voted on by the coaches from all the other teams we played in the conference this year! That means any of those other coaches could have been nominated too but Jamie was nominated #1 overall!!!

We are so thankful for her dedication to our organization and presenting our group in a Christian manner.

Thank you Jamie for taking the Flames to the next level!

Greetings to the Home School Community!

My name is Colleen Ryan and I am a member of the local Hetuck Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. I wanted to make the home schooling community aware that after a several year hiatus, the Hetuck Chapter is again participating in the national essay contest.

There are two separate contests, one for middle school, grades 5-8, and one for high school. The flyers are attached. The deadline is October 15, 2025 to the email address on the flyer.

Each grade level of the middle school will have a winner from our local area (so potentially 4 winners if there are submissions from each grade). The high school contest will have one winner for all four grades. The winners at our local chapter will receive awards. Then the winning essays will be forwarded to the State DAR for judging, with winners and prizes announced and awarded in March. The state winners will have their essays forwarded to Washington D.C. for judging by the National Society DAR with announcements and awards in June.
