We had a great time serving free Burgers and Hotdogs at the Juneteenth Celebration and Basketball Tournament hosted at Colgate Park in Orange New Jersey. The event featured great food and merchandise vendors, resources, activities for children, live performances and children and teens bringing their skills to the basketball ball court. This spring, we celebrated an incredible night with GreenLight Fund Greater Newark and a vibrant community of peer organizations. We were joined by our friend Tanya Veltz , co-founder of Tree House Cares, Mayor Ras J. Baraka, along with some incredible community leaders including Reading Partners, EMS Corps and Housing Connector .

The evening celebrated four years of GreenLight Greater Newark's impact, including Food Connect as one of its latest investments. 🌱🎉

Rooted in Newark, we were inspired to share the stage with organizations that tell a powerful story of community, vision, and dedication in action. Together, we had the chance to honor the people and partnerships behind this work and look ahead to a future filled with hope and momentum.
