What a gorgeous day at the Kiwanis Club of Newark, Ohio Strawberry Festival! Momentum Refresh will be here tonight until 10 p.m. on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. offering an accessible restroom with a universal changing table and a hoist (bring your own sling) and an accessible toilet and sink to anyone who needs additional space or assistance in the restroom!
Thanks to ARPA funds, LCBDD has been thrilled to offer this option to the Strawberry Festival for the last few years and we hope it helps even more people have a memorable, accessible, weekend this year! Enjoy those strawberry shortcakes and have a great time!

Congratulations to this amazing group of interns for graduating from the Licking Memorial Health Systems Project SEARCH program and receiving their high school diplomas this afternoon! Congratulations to the students who have received job offers as well as those who are still exploring next steps! We would also like to congratulate Addison Dufford and Lance Welsh for receiving the Braedon Pollmann Memorial Award. We wish all these awesome interns the very best!

Although the weather caused an unexpected cancellation on Sunday, we hope that everyone who was able to attend the Velvet Ice Cream Utica Ice Cream Festival had a great time! We appreciate that Momentum Refresh was there and are excited that they will be at the Kiwanis Club of Newark, Ohio Strawberry Festival this weekend!

Don’t Throw That Away!

Supporting an age-friendly community can be as simple as donating used durable medical equipment or unused supplies. These items can be redistributed through local medical equipment lending libraries to help older adults and others in need throughout Licking County.
