Newark Alliance President and CEO Evan Weiss joined the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative (BHCLI) last week, sharing insights on urban economic development alongside Todd Rufo from .associates. Evan shared insights from his diverse experience and highlighted Newark’s focus on aligning and expanding existing resources from anchor institutions and government while fostering collaboration.

Moderated by LaChaun Banks of the BHCLI, the conversation also focused on Newark’s resilience post-COVID, emphasizing sustainable growth and preparedness for future challenges, and shared thoughts on workforce innovation, infrastructure, local procurement, AI, and the future of economic development. Newark Alliance is proud to be a part of these critical conversations, driving inclusive and sustainable progress.

The Honorable Former Council President Mildred C. Crump was a trailblazer, whose change-making impact was profound in Newark, New Jersey, and the United States.
