Big news for the Long Island Italian American community! 🇮🇹🇺🇸

Plans have been announced to establish a new Italian American Heritage Museum on Long Island, NY, created in partnership with the Italian American Museum in New York City.

The museum will celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Italian Americans throughout the region - home to hundreds of thousands of Italian Americans.

"The announcement that a Long Island Italian American Museum will be established ... is incredibly meaningful," said OSDIA National President Thomas A. Lupo during the event, adding that "this museum will play an important role in celebrating the rich heritage of Italian Americans, preserving our vibrant culture, and passing our precious traditions down to future generations."

Dr. Joseph Scelsa, founder and director of the New York City museum, will help guide the planning of this new institution.

With more details to come, this project represents an exciting new opportunity to preserve and share Italian American history for generations to come.
