The House is a gathering on Sunday nights for those looking to explore what it means to follow Jesus, together, here in our city. We use the phrase "practicing the Way" because we believe that the invitation to follow Jesus is an invitation into his way of life; a life of growing trust as our hearts heal and learn to love again. We aren't just "practicing the way" on our own spiritual pilgrimage t
hough. We are invited by Jesus to follow him with others. We are invited into the community of God and into communion with one another. We actually think Jesus intends to make all the diverse people on this earth into a new humanity where we see one another as siblings, kin, family, that loves one another. Finally, we don't just practice the way of Jesus together in a void. We have a local context. As Eugene Peterson once said, "all living is local." We are learning what it means to love this place, these people around us, with this history and in this time. This leads us to a number of cultural conversations discussing what the way of Jesus, or the "way of love" as some scholars have put it, might look like here in Central Ohio.
