Integrity House has partnered with the City of Newark, NJ - City Hall Office of Homeless Services to launch a new Street Outreach program for individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Our teams are visiting transit hubs, parks, and other spaces, and canvassing neighborhoods to offer basic care supplies, crisis support, behavioral health assessments, treatment, housing, and other essential resources.

Outreach takes place throughout Newark in the evenings, when many traditional services are often less accessible.

International Overdose Awareness Day is a time to remember the lives lost to overdose; recognize the impact on individuals, families, and communities; and raise awareness of the steps we can all take to prevent future loss.

For individuals struggling with substance use, Integrity House offers multiple pathways to help - from residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment to mobile treatment clinics, to risk reduction support through the Integrity Wellness Center. What matters is that people have options and that help is within reach when they need it.

Integrity House Director of Supportive Housing Noel Vargas has been elected Advocacy Committee Chair for the 2026–2028 Newark/Essex County CEAS Executive Committee.

The CEAS Consumer Advocacy Committee works to identify barriers that prevent individuals and families from accessing the services and resources they need to maintain housing stability.
As Chair, Noel will help lead these efforts while bringing community partners together to address issues affecting housing stability, including employment, public assistance, legal systems, and access to supportive services.

Teen Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that young people face real and complex challenges. School pressure, family stress and changing relationships can weigh heavily on young people and can sometimes contribute to anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns.

Integrity House offers mental health support, including counseling and psychiatric services, for youth ages 9-17 through our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. If you’re concerned about your child’s mental health, support is available.
