BE THE ONE
I know this is a long read but please indulge me for a few minutes and read on.
I was sent a message today. It was a video from my brothers ex-father-in-law. I thought it pertinent to share.
The Pastor of a little town church was out in the hills checking on his parishioners. He came upon a shack and knocked on the door. A little boy about nine years old answered the door. The pastor asked if his parents were home, he said no no. Pastor asked do you know where they are? Little man said he didn’t know. They leave me home to watch my little brother on the weekends.
Over looking the shack and the shambles the pastor asked the little boy if he knew God. He said no. Pastor asked him if he knew Jesus, same answer. He asked about church and the boy said no, yet again.
It was a Saturday, so Pastor asked the little fella if he would like to go to church tomorrow. He said yes.
On Sunday the Pastor came, woke the boys up, got them cleaned up and dressed. As they headed to church the boys enjoyed a muffin and some juice the Pastors wife sent along. They went into the church and Pastor set the boys up front so they could see him preach.
The boys were quiet and listened, clapped their hands to music and were smiling, but the giving plate was being passed around. The boy thought oh no I have nothing to give. Sadly he thought and thought.
As the giving plate was taken up front for the blessing. The little guy ran up front and tugged the pastor’s robe.
He said wait sir I do have something to give! He asked for the plates, put them on the stage and stood in the plates. He said God, I thought I had nothing to give you, however I do have something! God, I give you me!
The whole place was filled with the glory of God and tears. Tears of wonder, tears of praise and hugs all around. Out of the mouths of a babe they heard a truth so beautiful and glorious they join hands and sang Amazing Grace.
Please BE THE ONE to spread the love and joy of God in your life today and every tomorrow to come. On this Labor Day feel joyful, how enriched we are and rest with God. Take a few minutes to remember how blessed we truly are.
By the way, this miracle happened on 9-11.
