A home school community of students and families who desire to glorify God by uplifting, encouraging, Philippians 4:8 NASB

Launched with the vision of a place for opportunities for Excellence in Learning could take place, and formed with a Christian foundation, our group has grown from a small association of families to a 501c3, Non-Profit Home Education Support Group and Community partner in Home Education. This year, we served 370 homeschooling students in our community through co-op classes and events. In addition, we reached over 850 families with homeschooling resources, support, and training sessions to help them in their homeschooling. The past year has presented unique challenges and a 600% growth in homeschooling across the country. Our community and financial partners enabled us to meet this challenge and help many first-time homeschooling families to educate their children at home. Their donations greatly impacted our community and directly supported parents and families during this difficult time. On behalf of these local families, THANK YOU for your support! Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Pick your favorite era and come dressed for it. ✌️🪩🎸📼
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Y2K... or whatever decade your heart belongs to!

And remember, this is a **FAMILY DANCE**, so parents, siblings, littles, teens... everybody is invited to join the fun!

🧟 QUESTION OF THE DAY RESULTS 🧟

We asked: Which MOCC board member would survive the zombie apocalypse?

The most likely survivor....John. Grace came in at a close second.😂 (We didn't get a photo before it was erased)

The women of the board would like it formally noted that we have concerns about these results.

Was the vote rigged?
Did John secretly campaign?
Or did he survive because he sacrificed the rest of us to the zombies?
We may never know.

Congratulations, John. We’re watching you. 👀🧟

The results are in. 😂🐢

Apparently, if a turtle loses its shell, it is officially homeless.

But we would like to acknowledge the passionate write-in campaigns for:

😂 “It’s missing its dignity.”
💀 “It would die!”
🤨 “Isn’t there zoology here?”
✏️ And the lone brave soul who simply voted “both.”

We asked a question. MOCC delivered answers, commentary, scientific criticism, and an existential crisis.

Honestly, 10/10. Question of the Day will return. 😂

And just like that, MOCC is back! 💙⚔️

Today we kicked off another year together, and it was so good to see our halls full again! New classes, new friendships, familiar faces, lots of hugs, and just a little first-day chaos. 😉

From finding classrooms and catching up with friends to settling into classes and debating the truly important questions of life (apparently a shell-less turtle has lost its dignity 😂), we had a pretty great first day.

Thank you to all of our parents, teachers, volunteers, and students who jumped in and helped everything come together today. We know the first week is always a little hectic, and we're grateful for this community and excited to see what this year brings!

🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Sabrina Schlabach 🌟

We’re so thankful for Sabrina and the flexibility and experience she brings to MOCC!

This fall, Sabrina will be teaching Cursive, Hopping Through History, The Nature Around Us, and Shake Your Sillies Out. She has been homeschooling for 23 years and is beginning her third year with MOCC.

Sabrina’s favorite co-op moment is teaching nature class. Her co-op day fuel? Prayer and a granola bar. Her classroom superpower is going with the flow!

Students can expect Sabrina’s classes to be a little bit of everything, or at least that’s what she hopes!

One verse that encourages her is:

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has also forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:32

This year, Sabrina is especially looking forward to watching her children grow alongside their friends at co-op.

We’re so grateful for teachers like Sabrina who help make MOCC such a special community. 💙

Every week gives us opportunities to do good.

A kind word, a helping hand, a shared resource, a patient response, a warm welcome, or a simple act of service can make a real difference in someone's day.

At MOCC, we want our homeschool village to be a place where doing good becomes part of who we are together.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on doing good to everyone as we have opportunity.

🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Mary Zink 🌟

We’re so thankful for Mary and the warmth she brings to MOCC!

This fall, Mary will be teaching Basic Cooking, Snack Time, and Sewing. She has been homeschooling since 2015 and has been part of MOCC since 2022.

Mary’s favorite co-op moments are anytime her kids laugh or learn something new. Her co-op day personality? “Where is my coffee?” Her classroom superpower is encouraging students and going with the flow. And her co-op day fuel is coffee, obviously!

Students can expect Mary’s classes to be hands-on, creative, fun, a little loud in a good way, and organized-ish.

One reminder that encourages her is:

“Just do the next thing.”

This year, Mary is especially looking forward to watching the kids have fun while they learn!

We’re so grateful for teachers like Mary who help make MOCC such a special community. 💙
