As of December 31, 2025, our nonprofit organization, Blue Butterfly Arts & Media, has closed it’s operations. We closed in good standing and are proud of the projects we were able to accomplish in just four short years. Not only did we produce the documentary Stronger Than Steel: The Senator Wynona Lipman Story and the accompanying exhibit and ancillary programs and receptions around Lipman’s Centennial; we hosted events involving local artists, including the outstanding Coffee and Convo: Conversations in Art & Activism, daylong seminar last May, a collaboration with the Community Media Center at Express Newark. Additionally, we joined with NJPAC and the Weequhaic Park Association to host Salsa Sunday in November 2025. We worked on several projects with other organizations (e.g. Wynona’s House) and donated our remaining funds to local nonprofits. As individual Board members, our work continues — producing and promoting arts and cultural projects in the community and beyond. Thank you to all who helped sustain us along the way.
