Citizens Bank should end its financial ties to private detention companies CoreCivic and GEO Group, whose facilities have been linked to allegations of abuse, lack of transparency, and conditions that raise serious concerns about constitutional rights, human dignity, and accountability. Citizens Bank must stand with the communities it serves by putting people before profit.

Congressmen Chris Smith and Jeff Van Drew just voted to send billions of dollars to ICE and CPB. Despite the recent reports of disgusting and inhumane treatment of detainees at Newark's Delaney Hall. Many of whom are detained illegally. While Americans struggle to afford housing, food, and basic necessities, these congressmen are prioritizing cruelty over basic human rights and affordability.

New Jerseyans shouldn't be completely dependent on social media to make informed decisions about voting, local government, or their finances. Even in this digital age, public discourse needs responsible, solid journalism. Thank you Andrew Zwicker for Senate for your legislation that would help fund NJ public media and the NJ Civic Information Consortium, which helps develop and grow local, independent news outlets throughout our state.
