GRACEful Hope

GRACEful Hope GRACEful Hope is dedicated to the awareness, research, and prevention of ovarian cancer. It soon turned in to something bigger. We chose to take action.

GRACEful Hope is dedicated to the awareness, research, and prevention of ovarian cancer and was founded in 2009, shortly after the passing of Grace Rocha on December 12, 2008 and also in support of her daughter, Erika, who was diagnosed in early 2007 at the age of 16. GRACEful Hope initially began as a team of family and friends participating in the Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in NYC walk

ing in solidarity and raising funds to support our girls and other women battling ovarian cancer. With Erika’s passing on January 8, 2011 at the age of 20, we were devastated. We were faced with two options-we could just mourn the loss of Grace and Erika, or we do something about it. To date, GRACEful Hope has participated in and fundraised for several EIF Revlon Run/Walks, Kaleidoscope of Hope Walkathons, and the Turn The Towns Teal ovarian cancer awareness campaign, and hopes to further the organization’s impact in the fight against ovarian cancer through our current efforts to be formally recognized as a non-profit foundation. We know that community activism is the first step in our continued fight and hope that with your support, GRACEful Hope may continue supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, honoring the taken, and never, ever giving up hope.

Great news!

YOUR VOICES MADE A DIFFERENCE! If you have ever spoken up on behalf of our shared mission, you – and all of us in the ovarian cancer community – have much to celebrate. Congress has published the text of the FY22 omnibus spending bill and it includes increased funding for the Ovarian Cancer Research Program, Johanna’s Law, the Ovarian Cancer Control Initiative, and the National Cancer Institute, as well as $1 billion in funding for ARPA-H. We urge Congress to finalize this budget, which represents a major victory for the ovarian cancer community. Click https://bit.ly/3tJWuh5 to learn more.

Campbell is helping her little sister going through the same cancer she has Battled for the last 5 year. It is a shock for all of us that I have 2 kids now going to through the same exact rare ovarian cancer. Summer had a large tumor removed , plus other parts and now on chemo.!she will be on chemonforn5 sessions. Each session last 5 days each and she will have to stay in the hospital for all of them. We also found out once a week they added a chemo for her to come in amd take. Just in a week if has weakened her and tried to break her spirit but she won’t let it. She maybe extra tired but she is fiesty an funny and is going to beat this thing with prayers, love, and laughter and just pure determination.
