This weekend, volunteers from Rise Christian Church chose Hope Valley as part of their Church Left the Building event, and what they created will bring hope to so many people in our community.
Together, we packed 100 Hope Delivered Blessing Bags, and wrote incredibly thoughtful, personalized cards for people who may simply need to be reminded that they are seen, cared for, and not alone.
Our Hope Delivered Blessing Bags are one of the ways we’re able to meet people right where they are. Each bag is filled with carefully chosen items meant to offer comfort, encouragement, and a little bit of practical care during a difficult season. They’re kept ready so when we learn of someone who could use a little hope - a neighbor going through a loss, a family facing something hard, or someone who simply needs to know their community sees them - we can deliver it.
But what made this day especially meaningful wasn’t just what went into the bags. It was what went over them.
We began our time together in prayer, and before the bags left those tables, they were prayed over and blessed for the people who will eventually receive them. We may not know their names yet, but God does. 💚
These 100 bags will go out into our community one by one, carrying a simple message with them: You are seen. You are loved. And there is always hope.
We are so grateful to Rise Christian Church for choosing Hope Valley, for being the hands and feet of Jesus as they packed every bag and wrote every card, and for a community that continues to believe in our mission of inspiring hope.
