Backpacks packed. Supplies ready. Our students are set to start the year strong! 🎒✏️📚

Thanks to the generosity of Milla Gives, The Home Depot, and our longtime friends at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Essex Fells, children and youth we serve are heading back to school with the supplies they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

🎒 Milla Gives donated an incredible 108 backpacks, with options for students from preschool through high school.

📚 The Home Depot (Elizabeth, NJ) generously donated backpacks and school supplies.

❤️ St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, a longtime supporter of the Apostles’ House, once again showed up for our families with a generous donation of backpacks.

There’s something special about seeing our community come together to make sure every child can walk into the classroom prepared and ready for a new year.

The Apostles’ House is proud to recognize the The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) with a 2026 Humanitarian Award at our Be the Key Community Impact Awards.

For families experiencing housing instability, access to nutritious food is an important part of creating stability. CFBNJ’s leadership in the fight against hunger strengthens a network of community organizations working to ensure families throughout New Jersey have access to the food and resources they need.

Here at the Apostles’ House, their partnership helps strengthen our Life Pantry and our ability to provide reliable food assistance to hundreds of households in Newark and the surrounding community.

CFBNJ shows us what it means to Be the Key—building connections, mobilizing resources, and strengthening communities through partnership.
