⚠️ NYC Coastal Flood & Travel Advisory

A nor’easter is expected to bring strong winds, prolonged rain, and coastal flooding to New York City through the weekend.

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for the Bronx, with moderate coastal flooding expected along the eastern Bronx coastline. Saturday and Sunday mornings are expected to be the most hazardous periods for coastal flooding. Strong winds may also bring down tree branches and power lines and make travel hazardous, particularly on elevated bridges.

🌊 Stay prepared:
- Avoid flooded roads and never drive through floodwater.
- Allow extra time if you must travel.
- Secure loose outdoor items and stay alert for downed trees, branches, and power lines.
- If you live or work in a basement or below-ground space, be aware of your flood risk and be prepared to move to higher ground.
- Continue monitoring official alerts as conditions may change throughout the weekend.

NYCEM expects sustained winds of approximately 20–35 mph with frequent gusts of 40–55 mph, while rain is expected to continue into Monday. Pasted markdown

Please stay informed, use caution, and check on family, friends, and neighbors who may need additional assistance.
