When you read the museum label… and somehow understand less than you did before. 😂

Museums shouldn’t feel like a test you forgot to study for.

That’s exactly why we created The Museum Collective guides — to give you the context before and during your visit so you actually know:

✨ What you’re looking at
✨ Why it matters
✨ The stories the tiny wall label leaves out
✨ What’s actually worth stopping for

Our downloadable museum guides are created by art lovers, educators, historians, parents, and museum experts around the world — and designed for real people who want to enjoy museums without needing an art history degree.

Heading to a museum soon? Check if we have a guide for it 👀

Explore the guides at TheMuseumCollective.com

Because art is a lot more interesting when you actually know the story.

Going to MoMA? Grab one of our guides and learn **3 things you need to know before you go** 👀🎨

Did you know MoMA was founded by **three women** with a bold vision for modern art?

Or that **Van Gogh originally wanted to be a preacher** before becoming one of the most famous artists in history?

And Monet? His life had enough drama for a telenovela — but his obsession with **light** changed the way we see painting forever.

And that’s only the beginning.

Our **MoMA Guide: Selections from the Permanent Collection** was **curated by an art expert** and tells the stories behind **6 artists** featured in MoMA’s collection — giving you just enough context to actually understand what you’re looking at.

No endless Googling. No spending your museum visit staring at your phone.

**Just enough context to make the art hit differently.** 🎨

🎧🖼️ Grab your Frick guide from The Museum Collective before you walk in on our link

This isn’t just “look at pretty paintings” energy. The guide walks you through:
✨ the hidden love affair room
✨ the upstairs mansion rooms reopened after the $220M renovation
✨ Rembrandt highlights
✨ stories you would completely miss otherwise
✨ activities woven throughout the experience

And one detail only 10-year-olds are allowed to know. 👀

Because the Frick is one of those museums where context changes everything.

And speaking of context…

WHAT THE FRIIIIICK!? 😳🎩

Yeeeah… different Frick.

Here are 3 things everyone should know before visiting 👇

1️⃣ Henry Frick was basically the OG grinder.
The mansion belonged to Henry Frick — known as the “King of Coke.”
(No… not that coke. The steel-making fuel 😅)

He became a millionaire by 30, never went to college, and built this insane Fifth Avenue mansion filled with some of the most expensive paintings on earth — fully planning for it to become a museum after his death.

Honestly? He would’ve thrived on LinkedIn.

2️⃣ The Frick just reopened after a $220 MILLION renovation 💰
And now you can finally walk through the actual family living quarters upstairs.

No photos. No videos. Just very serious rich-people rooms:
✨ Adelaide’s sitting room… where she sat
✨ A breakfast room
✨ A private patio
✨ A room tied to a secret love affair 👀

3️⃣ Frick’s favorite painting was Lady Hamilton ❤️
He kept it directly above his fireplace because it reminded him of his daughter Martha, who tragically died at just 5 years old after swallowing a pin.

It became the last painting he looked at every night before bed.

So when you go:
📵 Put the phone down
🖼️ Grab the guide
🎨 And FRICKING enjoy the art.

If you’re tired of going to museums and feeling lost… you’re doing museums wrong. 🏰

We hit the Met Cloisters with a guide from created by the talented and it was a WHOLE different experience. Art experts created these guides for the rest of us — you buy it, download it, print it and show up ready.

The scavenger hunt had my kids exploring every single room. The museum staff was shocked at how excited they were. Every room had an activity, an explanation — and so many questions I couldn’t keep up! They grabbed the guide and guided ME. 😂

We finished in the most beautiful garden oasis in the middle of NYC — and it didn’t stop there. Dinner came with post visit questions, more laughs and their own Cloisters coloring pages.

My daughter said ‘I thought it was going to be boring… but I had the best time.’ SAY LESS. 🙌
