Rockland Community College, a State University of New York, provides an affordable education to students who want to save upwards of $100,000 on their degree by starting at RCC and transferring to outstanding four-year colleges. Our award-winning faculty works closely with students to ensure their success, and we have numerous student services to help students meet their goals. The Rockland Commun

ity College Foundation was established in 1981 to provide the resources that students require for success. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting the College by fostering a culture of philanthropy, growing the endowment, and providing financial support for long-term institutional priorities that could not be achieved without private funds. Access to the educational opportunities provided through scholarships can serve as the path to economic security, and this is especially true for low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students. The RCC Foundation awards over $200,000 annually to deserving students. Additional support is provided by the Foundation to the College to ensure that students get the highest-quality educational experiences.

Congratulations to this year's RCC Nursing graduates!

The Nursing Pinning Ceremony isn’t just a nursing tradition, it's a symbol of the nursing students’ hard work and dedication. During the pinning, the graduates take the following pledge:

In the full knowledge of the obligations I am undertaking,
I promise to dedicate myself
to the welfare of those committed to my care.
I will teach wellness, promote the well-being
of individuals and groups in society
and respect diversity in human responses.
I will maintain at all times the dignity of the patients in my care, holding in confidence all personal information entrusted to me.
I will support and work collaboratively
with members of the health team
and endeavor to keep my professional
knowledge and skills at the highest level. I am dedicating
myself as a care-giver, counselor, teacher and healer.
I promise to be accountable for my actions and to practice my profession with pride.

From everyone at RCC, well done! See you at RCC's 66th Commencement on May 18th!

Congratulations to Professor Patricia Szobonya and the RCC Model UN Club on their participation in the recent National Model United Nations Conference.

Supported by the SUNY Building Bridges grant, the RCC student delegation received training in civil discourse while engaging in an academic simulation of the United Nations. Representing South Sudan and Albania, students researched global issues, developed policy positions, and collaborated with peers to propose solutions to complex international challenges.

Through debate, negotiation, and resolution writing, students strengthened their critical thinking, public speaking, diplomacy, leadership, and teamwork skills while building global awareness and cross-cultural understanding.

The Model UN Club brought this training methodology back to the RCC campus clubs community to help promote civil discourse across our campus.

Congratulations to the RCC delegation and club members:

This afternoon, our Career Success team hosted a dynamic speed networking event, giving students the chance to meet with employers in a fast‑paced, speed‑dating–style format.

Each student had just one minute to make a lasting impression—practicing how to confidently introduce themselves and communicate their strengths.

It was an exciting and effective way for students to sharpen their interview, communication, and professional networking skills while connecting with potential employers.

This year’s Impulse Magazine is out! Huge congratulations to the Impulse team on another outstanding edition.

For more than 60 years, Impulse has given RCC students a platform to be published and build their creative portfolios. Along the way, student creators gain real world experience in editorial work, design, art direction, and production.

Check it out!

We Are Just $2,270 Away From Unlocking and additional $15,000 for RCC Students!

Thank you to everyone who has already supported RCC Days of Giving. Your generosity has brought us within striking distance of our goal! We are now only $2,270 away from securing the full $15,000 match challenge, generously sponsored by Piccininni Properties.

This is a transformational opportunity for our students. A gift to the Fund for RCC, at any level, could be the one that unlocks the match and multiplies its impact.
Let’s finish strong together, Hawks. This is our moment to rise.

If you haven't already, please consider supporting us in the final days of RCC Days of Giving! https://sunyrockland.edu/foundation/donate/

Rockland Community College and SUNY Purchase have formalized a new pathway program that gives students a clear, affordable path from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree.

Upon acceptance, students complete two years at RCC then transfer to Purchase without losing time or credits, which allows students to complete their bachelor’s degrees on time. The pathway offers supported advising, significant cost savings, and a potential scholarship of $3,000 a year for the two years students attend Purchase.
