Rockland Community College, a State University of New York, provides an affordable education to students who want to save upwards of $100,000 on their degree by starting at RCC and transferring to outstanding four-year colleges. Our award-winning faculty works closely with students to ensure their success, and we have numerous student services to help students meet their goals. The Rockland Community College Foundation was established in 1981 to provide the resources that students require for success. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting the College by fostering a culture of philanthropy, growing the endowment, and providing financial support for long-term institutional priorities that could not be achieved without private funds. Access to the educational opportunities provided through scholarships can serve as the path to economic security, and this is especially true for low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students. The RCC Foundation awards over $200,000 annually to deserving students. Additional support is provided by the Foundation to the College to ensure that students get the highest-quality educational experiences.

Basic Needs Drive - Oct. 19–23

Wear Purple Day - Thursday, Oct. 22
Students and employees are invited to wear purple in solidarity with survivors and help raise awareness about domestic violence. Participants may take a group or team photo and submit it for a chance to win lunch with President Bill Mullaney for up to 10 people. That evening, the RCC Technology Center will also be illuminated in purple.

By raising awareness and supporting local services, RCC affirms that survivors are not alone. RCC students and employees affected by domestic violence can access College support services for assistance and connections to community resources through the Counseling Center, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion office, and Human Resources office.

RCC celebrated the opening of its new $3 million Nursing Simulation Lab with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

At 5,234 square feet, the new facility is five times larger than RCC’s previous simulation area, providing nursing students with expanded opportunities for hands-on clinical training in a realistic, controlled environment.

The lab features medical-surgical beds, a critical care bay, a maternity/newborn suite with advanced simulators, a pediatric bay, skills practice areas and advanced simulation technology.

With more than 515 students currently enrolled in RCC’s nursing program, the new lab significantly expands the college’s capacity to provide high-quality simulation experiences.

Congratulations to our nursing students, faculty and staff, and to everyone who helped make this new facility possible!

Today, more than 100 RCC students, faculty and staff gathered at the College’s 9/11 Memorial Statue for a Remembrance Ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Located in the center of Rockland Community College’s Suffern Campus, the 9/11 Memorial Statue was created using fragments recovered from the World Trade Center site.

The ceremony included the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem and the reading of the names of those who lost their lives on 9/11 who were connected to RCC and the broader Rockland County community.

RCC President Dr. William P. Mullaney addressed the gathering, and Christopher Plummer, Director of the RCC Cultural Arts Theatre, recited Out of the Blue, a poem written by the late RCC Professor Emeritus and Rockland County Poet Laureate Dan Masterson.

The ceremony brought the RCC community together at a place on campus dedicated to remembering September 11 and those whose lives were lost.
