Mayor’s Fund partners, apply to be an SYEP worksite by May 8, 2026!

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest summer youth employment program, connecting young New Yorkers between the ages of 14 and 24 to valuable career exploration and paid work opportunities each summer. There is no direct cost, and you’ll play a pivotal role in equipping NYC youth for careers ahead.

Employers: apply to be an SYEP worksite by May 8, 2026!

Youth: the deadline to apply has been extended until March 13!

November SNAP benefits will not be issued at this time due to the federal government shutdown. The 1.8 million New Yorkers who rely on SNAP—including families with children and older adults—will temporarily lose access to the benefits they need to put food on the table.

The City of New York is stepping up to make sure no New Yorkers goes hungry during this crisis. Mayor Eric Adams announced $15 million in emergency funding for the Community Food Connection program to help food pantries meet increased demand. Social service agencies are working together to connect New Yorkers with a variety of alternative programs and services. Learn more:
