On Egg Day, our students learn how to make eggs four different ways…building confidence in the kitchen while mastering simple, versatile skills they can use anytime.

Eggs are such an important food because they’re:
• Affordable and accessible
• Packed with protein and essential nutrients
• Quick to prepare for any meal of the day

Last week’s mid-winter DOE break gave our in-school team the chance to come together for a professional development day.

Since we’re spread across the city delivering programming daily, we really value the moments when we can pause and put all of our brains together. It was a great opportunity to reconnect, share what’s working, refine curriculum, and make sure we’re aligned across every site we serve so we can deliver the best possible program to our students. 💛

Tonight, two of our SNACC cohorts came together for a special cooking session with the founders and leadership team of .

They generously provided tahini for every family to cook with—and then joined us live for a Q&A, sharing their founding story and what it’s like to build and run a food business. Our students asked thoughtful questions and loved learning directly from entrepreneurs in the food world.

Thank you, SOOM, for such a fun, inspiring session and for being with our community tonight.
