Hi All! The LSG Philanthropy team will be at Bleecker Street Bar tonight starting at 8:30 PM (after Dine & Dish) to collect sock donations for the Bowery Mission. Last year we collected 500+ pairs of socks to support the homeless in NYC. Let's do it again this year!

Snow day got you feeling stir-crazy? Then come channel that energy into some social good this Saturday, March 24! We have two great community service opportunities for you; one will be assembling supplies and necessities for the Bowery Mission and the other will be volunteering for a college-prep mentoring workshop with the high school students for the Junior Achievement League. Tonight (yes TONIGHT!!!!) a group of NYU Stern students will spend one night sleeping outside on Gould Plaza to raise money and awareness to help youth living in homeless shelters. We will sleep on the ground with no mattress or pillow and every chance of inclement weather … sounds crazy, right? Not nearly as crazy as this: more than 57,000 homeless kids will turn to Covenant House for help this year. We’re sleeping outside for one night, so homeless kids don’t have to.

To show solidarity for homeless youth, the NYU Stern community will spend one night sleeping outside on the Gould Plaza to raise money and awareness to help youth living in homeless shelters. Prior to sleeping out, the "sleepers" will attend a night of inspirational and informative programming in Paulson Auditorium with the opportunity to meet Covenant House youth and philanthropic leaders.
