One more race before the world shows up! 🌏
 
Congrats to the more than 10,000 runners who took part in yesterday’s NYRR Staten Island Half! This event offers stunning views of New York Harbor and gives runners a chance to race through Staten Island roughly a month before the borough hosts the start of the TCS New York City Marathon. It also marks the grand finale of our annual NYRR Five-Borough Series.
 
Huge thanks to our amazing for making it all possible—and to all the youngsters who participated in the Rising NYRR at the Staten Island Half.

Congrats to the over 7,000 runners who took part in yesterday’s NYRR Jersey City 5K. This race through downtown Jersey City is perfect for anyone chasing a PR 💨, training for a fall race 🍂, or simply hoping to get a glimpse of the Manhattan skyline.

Since this summer, we’ve been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 5-boro New York City Marathon course at NYRR Open Run locations across the city. 🗽 Yesterday, we held the finale at St. Mary’s Park in the Bronx, and it was a beautiful morning of movement and community in the borough where New York Road Runners was born. 💙

Kick off the world’s best marathon week with a FREE youth event.
 
Lace up and get excited for marathon week at the TCS New York City Marathon Kids Kickoff, the city’s premier youth running event. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first 5-boro marathon course, we’re expanding the fun to—you guessed it—all five boroughs.
 
Here’s what you need to know:
 
Dates: Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25
 
Locations:📍Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn (October 24)
📍St. Mary’s Park, The Bronx (October 24)
📍Astoria Park, Queens (October 24)
📍Ocean Breeze Park, Staten Island (October 24)
📍Central Park, Manhattan (October 25)
 
Details: Each event will feature an exciting course and a lively festival with fitness activities.
 
Registration is FREE and open to kids of all ages (2–18) and abilities. Every finisher will receive a medal and a New Balance T-shirt (available while supplies last). Learn more at the link in bio or visit nyrr.org/kickoff.
