LDLN LDLN develops technology to optimize disaster relief, decentralize communication networks, & provide data pipelines when connectivity is not available.

Inefficiency in relief efforts is the #1 problem when natural disasters strike. Our lines of communication are limited and crucial resources are not distributed properly. LDLN, pronounced "Landline", has the offline capabilities via data hubs, to properly collect and distribute information to and from affected areas. LDLN’s data can:
- help that family who desperately needs meds and have their req

uests fulfilled quickly
- inform the field agent ahead of time that a road is not accessible and they can plan accordingly
- help a city recognize recurring issues so they can make informed decisions on improvements in the long term, building resiliency

By leveraging the latest technologies at hand, LDLN creates small, portable and inexpensive device alongside with apps that work on iOS and Android, to help bridge any communication gap during a time of need. This was initially developed from NextDayBetter's Typhoon Haiyan Relief Hackathon in November 2013. We are a small group of hard working, curious, and dedicated individuals: Matt Grasser, Christopher Guess, Nick Ihm, Kristine Austria Sanchez, Wendy Sanchez-Vaynshteyn , Joyce De Vera, Emily Duong, Sam Krueckeberg, Arthur Chen, and our various sponsors and mentors!
