“This scholarship provides funds for me to pay for housing payments. Last year, it was difficult juggling schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and working; which drained my ability to build healthy studying habits. I found myself in a predicament to either study with my peers or work to earn much needed money for bills and miscellaneous school funds.

Since the end of my undergrad sophomore year, I have been responsible for supporting myself financially. This experience has taught me the true meaning of adulthood and the importance of prayer through every situation. Throughout my journey, there have been many tears and fear of the unknown, but knowing God has a bright future for me has kept me grounded and focused.”

Tomorrow is ! 📌
🎓 "Receiving the RISE scholarship has contributed to my personal growth tremendously. I am a first generation college student who learned a lot of lessons through witnessing others early in life. I made sure to do my part in school, and do my part in work to contribute to my household.

🏥 My dream was to study nursing, but unfortunately I wasn’t awarded FASFA the first year. Then, Shiloh came in and contributed to my education through the RISE scholarship. I felt a deep gratitude and relief. When I was awarded the scholarship again for this year as a college Senior, I had a goal to move on campus to immerse myself and not take on a second or third job. The scholarship helped me to live in the dorm, purchase my books, and help with expenses that would have been taxing on myself or my parents. There are no words to explain the relief and thankfulness toward Shiloh and all its done for me."
