The Madrinas Project is back!

Last weekend, three of our college students were paired with incredible volunteer “Madrinas” for a shopping trip at . When each student found their suit, you could see their confidence light up, which a powerful reminder of what this program is all about. The Madrinas Project exists to ensure that no student feels unprepared or unsupported as they enter professional legal spaces, especially for those who are first-generation professionals.

We are very grateful for everyone who has contributed to this initiative!

It’s no secret that the legal profession is inaccessible to most. Law school is more expensive than ever. The barriers to entry can feel overwhelming.

The Sotomayor Program is changing that. Through our full pipeline programs, students work closely with and learn from federal, state, and local judges. More than an internship, the Sotomayor Program provides free LSAT prep, professional attire scholarships, and close mentorship to aspiring young lawyers—most of whom are the first in their family to pursue higher ed.

None of this would be possible without your support. This we’re asking you to contribute whatever you can to keep this mission alive. Together we can make the profession more accessible and our legal system, more just.
