FESF North America Family Education Services Foundation North America (FESF NA) was founded by Richard and Heidi Geary in 1984.

The Deaf Reach Program was founded by Richard and Heidi Geary in 1984 while living in the Philippines. As parents of a deaf child, they discovered that programs for the Deaf, particularly in developing countries, were very limited in scope. Richard and Heidi researched and established programs that would enhance Deaf education and community integration, inaugurating the Deaf Reach Program in the P

hilippines, then transferring to India where they established youth associations for the deaf. They arrived in Pakistan in 1992, where an informal education club was established for deaf youth in Karachi. Today Deaf Reach offers high quality education to more than 1,000 deaf students across Pakistan, with most coming from low income households. More than 5,000 deaf youth have completed Deaf Reach's training programs to date. In addition to providing formal education from kindergarten to high school, Deaf Reach conducts marketable skills training programs that prepare deaf youth for gainful employment. Hundreds of deaf youth have been employed through Deaf Reach's job placement program.

On this International Women's Day, let's celebrate the incredible achievements of women in education. From teachers and professors to researchers and administrators, women have been at the forefront of the pursuit of knowledge and learning for centuries. Today, we recognize the women who have broken down barriers and shattered stereotypes, and who have paved the way for generations of women to come. We honor the many women who have fought for equal access to education, and who have inspired countless others to follow in their footsteps. Let's continue to support and uplift women in education, and work to create a more equitable and inclusive world for all. Happy International Women's Day!
