Dear Caribbean-Americans,

Today marks a historic moment for the Caribbean-American community and the global fight for justice. President Joe Biden has officially granted pardons to Marcus Garvey (a towering figure in the pursuit of racial equality and empowerment for people of African descent) and Trinidadian Ravi Ragbir.

Marcus Garvey’s legacy as a visionary leader and founder of the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) inspired generations to embrace self-determination, unity, and pride in their heritage. This pardon not only recognizes the injustice he faced, but also honors his contributions to the global African diaspora.

Ravi Ragbir, a Trinidadian immigrant rights activist, has been a steadfast advocate for immigrant communities, fighting for dignity, fairness, and justice. His pardon is a testament to the critical work of grassroots leaders and the resilience of the Caribbean-American community.

These pardons highlight a commitment to justice and equity, and they inspire us to continue the fight for a brighter, more inclusive future. Let us take this moment to celebrate and recommit to the values these leaders represent.

Together, we continue to build on the foundation laid for a brighter future.

In solidarity,

Caribbean-American Collective

A Date with Destiny: Rally for Kamala!

Caribbean-Americans have long been architects of progress, from Shirley Chisholm’s fearless firsts to Kamala Harris’s historic rise.

Each generation has paved the way, weaving resilience, culture, and ambition into the fabric of America.

Now, it’s our turn to carry forward the torch and their legacy—by showing up at the polls and voting for a brighter future for all.

Let’s honor our heroes and write the next chapter in our Caribbean-American story — we cast our vote for VP Kamala Harris!

Our history is rich, our voices are powerful, and together, we’re voting for a brighter future!
