Core Clubhouse Values
1. The participants of Clubhouses are members, rather than patients or clients. Staffs do not 'treat' members; instead, members and staff work together as co-workers and partners.
2. The Clubhouse community believes in the full potential of each of its members, and works to assist each member gain their independence through work, housing, education, friendship, and access to

community supports.
3. Decisions about Clubhouse policy and future plans are made together by the whole Clubhouse community, through a process of consensus building.
4. The Clubhouse space reflects the pride and dignity of the Clubhouse community.
5. The Clubhouse community of members and staff work to educate the local community about mental illness and to reduce the stigma associated with it.
