International Children’s Day is a moment to pause and recognize the beauty and worth of every child.

At Amudim, we believe that protecting our children’s well-being means helping create the kind of world where they can grow with trust, connection, and hope.

Today, we join communities around the world in honoring children and the responsibility we share to care for them well.

Ever felt like it was too late to become better?

Parshas Naso reminds us that the door is still open.

The Nazir teaches us that a person can choose, at any moment, to take one step toward something higher.

No perfect past required.
No special background required.

Just one decision.
One step.
One moment of saying, “I want more than this.”

You are not too far gone.

Wishing you a wonderful Shabbos.

We've all been in this moment.

Someone we love shuts down or lashes out. We know something feels off - but do we call Hatzalah? Do we wait it out? Do we say something?

Sometimes the same behavior comes from two very different places. And knowing the right questions to ask can make all the difference.

Sometimes we forget how much our presence means to them - until they climb into our arms and settle there like nothing else in the world matters.

And somehow, while we are helping them feel safe, their trust does something to us too.
It softens the moment and makes even the hard parts of parenting feel a little lighter.

They may not remember every word we say, but they will ALWAYS remember how safe they felt with us.

What a gift this bond is 🥰

Education is prevention.

Through the Darcheinu/Our Path SEL curricula, students in classrooms around the world are learning how to notice when someone feels alone, how to stand up without escalating, and how to help create a classroom culture where students can say:
We don’t do that here.

This is Social Emotional Learning.
This is how we equip the next generation.

On Shavuos, we read Megillas Rus - a story about what real chesed looks like.

Not when it is convenient. Not when there is something in it for us.

Chesed is looking at someone who has nothing left and saying: I’m not going anywhere.

Rus stayed with Naomi, and that one act of loyalty changed the future of Klal Yisrael.

If you know someone struggling, be Rus.

Stay.
Make the call.
Show up.

You never know what one act of loyalty can set in motion.

Chag Sameach and Good Shabbos.

V’ahavta l'reacha kamocha. Sometimes loving ourselves is the harder part of that equation.

No matter where you are this Shavuos, you deserve the same compassion and love you'd give someone else.

And if your world is steady, perhaps you can make room for one more at your table.

Dealing with a panic attack is difficult.

Dealing with a panic attack when you do not understand what your body is doing can feel terrifying.

Your heart is racing, your chest feels tight, and you know something feels wrong - but you don’t know what it is.

Listen as Mrs. Shira Berkowitz, LCSW, Program Director of Darcheinu and Our Path SEL, explains why children need language, practice, and real-life rehearsal before feelings become overwhelming.

We are raising these incredible kids that we love more than anything, and some days it stretches us in every possible way… and somehow we still wouldn’t trade it for anything.

If you are feeling exhausted and still showing up, you’re doing so much better than you think you are.

And if you find yourself in the thick of it - keep going.
You’re not alone in this 🫶🏻
