The 2026 Paper Variables series is here, with new works by Paul Anthony Smith Paul Anthony Smith, Shervone Neckles Shervone Neckles, and Martha Tuttle Martha Tuttle.

Since 2000, Dieu Donné has collaborated with over 50 artists to create the Paper Variables series: a collection of exclusive pieces, handmade in our studios from wet paper pulp. Each artist closely collaborated with our team of expert papermakers to explore variations in color, shape, and texture, making each work distinct and enhancing its value for collectors.

Every membership goes back into giving artists the materials and collaborative support to work in hand papermaking. Your support helps Dieu Donné sustain its mission to welcome artists into our studios through our residencies, workshops, and fellowship programs.

Caroline Ongpin is a visual artist working primarily in printmaking. She was the 2025 Marabeth Cohen-Tyler Print/Paper Fellow at Dieu Donné, which followed a year at Tamarind Institute’s Printer Training Program. Caroline is also the owner and lead printer of collaborative lithography studio, Ermitanya Editions located in Brooklyn.

This program is made possible in part with public funds from the NYSCA with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts National Endowment f/t Arts, and generous foundation and individual support.
