We close this International Day of Peace, holding both heavy burdens and holy fire.
We offer this prayer from our indigenous siblings of the Cheyenne tribe. May it serve as a reminder that we must trust the ancestral wisdom that surrounds us and be guided by the deep, unyielding faith that grounds us.
Let us pray…

God within us,
God beyond us,
Great Spirit and Creator of all that is,
“Let us know peace.
For as long as the moon shall rise,
For as long as the rivers shall flow,
For as long as the sun shall shine,
For as long as the grass shall grow,
Let us know peace.”

May it be so! 🌎🙏🏾🕊️

Today, the global community joins those whose hearts are commemorating
the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
We were reminded yesterday during our morning prayer service of the words of Psalm 46
"...God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble..."
May we be especially reminded of this divine promise today; And may the comfort of the Holy One be close to the brokenhearted on this solemn day and always.

Below I share an edited version of the litany and 11 September 2001 service of remembrance that we previously held at the Church Center.
I hope it can be of inspiration for when you pause and take a moment of silence to remember and pray.

In Spirit and solidarity,
Rev. Dionne P. Boissiere, Chaplain
