We welcomed the Inaugural NJ/NY Hope Youth Corps to Newark on Monday July 1st and they have hit the ground running! It's Day 2 of their prep for the camp and they are taking the time to beautify and make the camp environment welcoming.
Please keep them in you hearts and prayers as they serve the community! And stay tuned to see their journey!

It was such a joy to serve the community via the CHIPS Food Pantry on May 25th. NYMetro volunteers were able to connect with and serve people experiencing housing and food insecurity.

On November 6th and November 11th,NYMETRO volunteers from Immaculate Heart Academy High school and the Edge Ministry served dinner at MESH Montclair Emergency Services of Hope where those experiencing homelessness are fed dinner 6/7 days a week.

From organizing charity drives to lending a helping hand, this event symbolized the power of humanity in making the world a better place. As they brightened countless lives, the volunteers demonstrated that hope truly knows no bounds when people unite to serve others.

After a moving and inspiring message delivered by Hope Youth Director Matt Rollins in the heart of the Bronx, the camaraderie and appreciation among these dedicated individuals were truly uplifting. In the spirit of fellowship, they celebrated their commitment to making a positive impact on communities and spreading hope far and wide."

We're thrilled to announce our annual Clothing Drive, and we need YOUR help to make it a resounding success! Join us in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

We're accepting gently used or new clothing for all ages and sizes. Whether it's clothing your kids have outgrown, pieces you no longer wear, or even new items you'd like to contribute, every donation counts! Let's come together as a compassionate community and support those who could use a helping hand.

🌟 How You Can Contribute:

Clean Out Your Closet: Gather clean, wearable clothing items you no longer need or use.
Spread the Word: Share this message with friends, family, and colleagues to encourage more donations.

Organize a Mini-Drive: Consider hosting a mini-clothing drive within your neighborhood or workplace to maximize contributions.

Volunteer: We also need enthusiastic volunteers to help collect, sort, and distribute donations on the day of the event.

The Clothing Drive is an excellent opportunity to declutter your wardrobe while making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Your contributions will directly benefit those less fortunate, keeping them warm and stylish in the seasons to come.

For those who don’t know, Darryl will me moving to St Thomas at the end of July, making it his last day with us.

Within the last 4 years he's traveled within our nyc church taking photos of our acts of service, meeting our volunteers and communities as well as managing our social media accounts.

As you embark on this new journey, remember that our church community will always be here for you. You carry with you our prayers, love, and blessings as you take this leap of faith. May the path ahead be filled with abundant blessings, new friendships, and the fulfillment of your dreams.

Incredible day of mutuality in Newark NJ this past Saturday! Hope volunteers gave away free bicycles to neighborhood youth while officers from the 4th Precinct taught the recipients how to ride them! While in the precinct, more volunteers worked on a mural to inspire stakeholders to communicate and partner in making the community better! Super special thanks to and for passing through!

During the month of March to honor and celebrate International Women’s Month, The Garden State Church partnered with the NY Metro Chapter to Inspire Greater Hope for women in shelters, coping with Domestic Violence or mature women within the 4 counties of NJ, Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic. We were able to collect and donate many essentials such as toiletries, diapers, gas/grocery gift cards and feminine products. The end of the month was spent having tea with an amazing group of mature, stylish ladies whom we hope to visit regularly.
